Dual controls have been fitted to 3 Nissan Leaf cars so that visitors to Expo Sunderland events can drive under instruction to experience what it is like to drive an electric car - it's easy, why not have a go!
Our taster driving sessions are FREE and open to everyone aged 14+. Whether this is your first time behind the wheel or you're a driver who would like to take our electric vehicles for a spin, our taster sessions are for you.
- All of our instructors are CRB checked and taster sessions take place in dual controlled cars by DVSA approved instructors.
- If you do not have a driving license, there may be provision for your session to take place on private land, subject to availability.
Times available are 11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm
Pick up and drop off point will be located at the main event site.
Each session slot includes a short group induction and a 10 minute drive on private land.
Spectators are welcome to wait at the pick up point or visit other attractions during the hourly slots or make their own way to the private land to watch.
Due to popularity, we will look to include this attraction at all Expo events and open up to different age groups.
