Teenagers

Our younger residents came along to experience cool new technologies, try out fun games and see innovative ideas from different businesses showing us what they do.

They could watch or have a go at photography, science, art, gaming, music, electric driving, food, fashion and a glimpse at future inventions and how they might change our lives.

The event took place in units 12-19a at The Bridges Shopping Centre.

Our exhibition booked out but if you would like to be considered for future events, please fill in this form.

Electric Driving

120+ 14-17yr olds could drive an electric car during this event across 3 days at the following times.

11am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm each day.

Pick up and drop off was at the taxi rank next to the former New Look store on Crowtree Road.

The pupils were given a short group induction and each had a 10 minute drive under instruction at the Stadium of Light (yellow car park).

Parents, carers and spectators were welcome to wait at the pick up point or visit other attractions for Come & Play during the hourly slots or make their own way to the Stadium of Light to watch.

Due to popularity, we will look to include this attraction at future Expo events and open up to different age groups.
