At Boldyn Networks, Charles was instrumental in closing the 20-year strategic partnership with Sunderland City Council to deliver a Smart City Programme for Sunderland.

With extensive international experience in information, communications and technology, he specialises in driving growth from the benefits delivered through converged technology solutions, key partnerships and digital transformation. Charles has held senior commercial and managerial positions in the UK, Ireland, Australia, North America Southeast Asia and the Caribbean, with companies such as Telstra, Cable & Wireless & BT Australasia.

Prior to joining Boldyn Networks, Charles collaborated in developing the digital transformation strategy with a key Caribbean nation, looking to establish their country as a regional technological hub, to improve their economy, the lives of their citizens, secure sovereign data and attract foreign direct investment.
