Chris is a Chartered Surveyor with over 15 years’ experience in commercial property, development and regeneration across the public and private sector.

In his current role, Chris leads the Council’s property team, overseeing the asset management of the Council’s commercial property portfolio as well as having responsibility for the acquisition and disposal of land and property.

Prior to joining Sunderland City Council, Chris spent 7 years at Home Group where he was responsible for workspace strategy and commercial development, culminating in the deal to develop their award winning new headquarters at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle.
