Neil Murphy is co-founding director of TOWN and a recognised authority on urban regeneration and the practical delivery of complex sustainable developments. With co-founder Jonny Anstead he led the planning and delivery of multi-award-winning Marmalade Lane Cohousing in Cambridge which established TOWN as one of the UK’s leading progressive SME developers.
He is project director for Nile + Villiers, an 80-home residential-led mixed-use development in Sunniside, which will reinstate the historic pattern of this rapidly regenerating area of central Sunderland.
Neil holds an honours degree in politics, philosophy and economics from the University of Oxford. He is a Visiting Fellow within the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at Newcastle University, an academician of the Academy of Urbanism and a Fellow of the RSA.
