Bio

SUE SHA embarked on her digital art journey in 2022, driven by an insatiable creative thirst. Her work unfolds through surreal metaphors, weaving narratives that blur the line between reality and science fiction - where enigmatic characters inhabit dreamlike spaces suspended between worlds. 

SUE SHA collaborated with XG on their music video IYKYK. Her works have been showcased at global art and tech conferences and featured in magazines in South Korea.

In 2025 SUE SHA founded an AI design & animation school “cultiv8it”, both offline and online, and this year launched her own art and tech gallery in Seoul, “sue sha LAB” - a space that merges an open exhibition venue with an experimental art lab, where she playfully explores various materials, blending them with digital narratives.  The gallery also serves as a platform for her workshops, collaborations with other artists, and immersive art events featuring artist talks. Her mission is to dissolve the boundary between physical art and digital art with artificial intelligence.

SUE SHA’s current research focuses on experimental processes involving textures, materials, forms, light, and their chemical interactions in the physical world - intertwined with narratives created using digital tools and artificial intelligence.  She reveals her characters through their fashion and the use of techniques such as material dissolution, melting, absorption of light and colour, emphasizing their organic essence in dialogue with artificial influence.

Synopsis

An organic oasis cultivated within an artificially created ecosystem of forms, integrated with the architecture of parametric silhouettes.  A system of existence where the artificial and the organic are held in balance.
